The Community Foundation's next In Community Conversation is almost here! These events spotlight innovative solutions for transformative social and economic change, led by visionary leaders turning ideas into reality—even in uncertain times.Join us for a FREE inspiring event featuring Kwame Owusu-Kesse. Kwame is the CEO of Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) and was named on TIME100 Next, TIME's list of “the next 100 most influential people in the world.” Discover how HCZ is transforming Harlem and communities like it across the country through their pioneering place-based model. Since the founding of HCZ, the organization has served thousands of scholars and families, closed the achievement gap in its schools, and helped thousands of scholars graduate from college.
Produced in partnership with the Darien Community Association, the evening will explore HCZ’s pioneering initiatives, including its bold aim of putting one million young people on the pathway to social and economic mobility.
The event will also feature an illuminating discussion between Mr. Owusu-Kesse and Fairfield County’s Community Foundation’s President & CEO, Mendi Blue Paca, as they share insights from their time at Harvard and beyond.
