IN Cervical Cancer Elimination Plan Kickoff Summit
About this Event
Join us for the launch of the Indiana Cervical Cancer Elimination Plan (ICCEP), a statewide initiative focused on reducing—and ultimately eliminating—cervical cancer in Indiana.
Around the world, public health organizations have embraced the goal of cervical cancer elimination. With the proven effectiveness of HPV vaccination, evidence-based cervical cancer screening, and timely follow-up care, cervical cancer is one of the few cancers for which elimination is considered an achievable public health goal.
Over the past six months, the Indiana Cancer Consortium, Indiana Univeristy, and other partners have worked to develop a draft statewide plan to guide cervical cancer elimination efforts. We are now inviting stakeholders, partners, and collaborators from across the state to review the plan, provide feedback, and help shape the future of this important work.
The Indiana Cervical Cancer Elimination Plan is organized around three key pillars:
- HPV Vaccination
- Cervical Cancer Screening
- Timely Follow-Up of Abnormal Screening Results
This launch event will provide an overview of the draft plan, highlight opportunities for collaboration, and engage participants in facilitated discussions to gather input on priorities, strategies, and implementation approaches. Whether your work focuses on healthcare, public health, cancer prevention, community outreach, education, policy, research, or patient advocacy, your perspective can help strengthen Indiana's path toward cervical cancer elimination.
