About Kaya: Kaya's love for movement radiates with joy, purpose and gratitude and can be felt in each one of the classes that she leads. Originally from New Jersey, Kaya discovered the many benefits of yoga for her own personal practice and shortly after received her yoga certification. Since then she has dedicated herself to expanding her knowledge across numerous movement disciplines to better serve her students.

Her credentials include a B.S. in Kinesiology from Towson University, her 200-hour certification, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Mat Pilates instructor, along with specialized training in functional movement, prenatal yoga, biomechanics and so much more.

As the pioneer behind DC's first Yogalates classes, Kaya has guided thousands of students across the country, creating spaces where people feel seen, reconnect with their inner strength and glow from the inside, out.

About the Musicians: Michael Bowie, an accomplished bassist with over 50 years of experience, has collaborated with legendary artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Abbey Lincoln, and Isaac Hayes. Alongside him is Donato Soviero, a gifted guitarist and storyteller, whose unique sound and passion for music have allowed him to perform with countless international musicians over the years. Together, this dynamic duo has played in various capacities for more than 30 years, exploring genres ranging from swing and jazz to hip-hop and world music. Michael is thrilled to return to Eaton Wellness for another event and will be joined by one of his favorite musicians, Donato. Their extensive backgrounds and deep love for music reflect a lifelong journey dedicated to creativity and collaboration.
