*About the event
Join us for a powerful and transformative event in New York City, hosted in partnership with Rona Ram Lalezary’s Mental Health Is Real campaign and Anzhelika Steen Olsen’s SHER organization.
With record high levels of depression and anxiety, and the rise of heavy antisemitism spewing on the streets and our college campuses, Jewish college students face a nexus of crises amid the new academic year. At counseling centers, mental health professionals who have not lived through the experience of antisemitism have not been specifically trained to make Jewish students feel seen, heard, and understood. thus, incidents may not even be reported to the appropriate agencies that document antisemitism and do not come close to meeting the full range of mental health-related needs.
On Oct 30th we invite college students from all communities for a powerful and transformative event, an evening of meaningful dialogue on Jewish mental Health with renowned voices like SHABBOS KESTENBAUM to discuss how we can gather our inner strength, tap back into faith and repair our broken spirits, collectively, in a post 10/7 world. Featuring renowned psychotherapist and trauma specialist Magdalena Agabs, who will offer transformative tools and insights for deep healing.
ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH ISREAL
Mental Health Isreal (MHI) is a 501c3 non-profit lead by life transformative coach Rona Lalezary. The LA born initiative gained its momentum from an empowering launch event gathering over 700 community members, garnering the attention of Jews across the world desiring to replicate the wellness outreach in their respective towns.
MHI is committed to providing essential mental health resources to Jewish communities globally in response to the rise in trauma, anxiety, depression, and fear, post 10/7.
Our focus is on creating a robust virtual platform that connects Jewish wellness practitioners, trauma trainers, individuals seeking healing, and community leaders from across the diaspora. By integrating these four groups into our system, we ensure consistent, quality care is accessible to all, regardless of their location or level of need. Our goal is to meet the significant demand for mental health support that our community faces, bridging the gap in available care.
