IMSA Traffic Signal Construction Level 2 Certification Program
About this Event
The IMSA Traffic Signal Construction II Exam certifies the holder’s thorough knowledge of traffic signal installation techniques and standards. A technician who earns this certification has substantial training in traffic signal construction, material management and overall construction safety.
The following topics are covered in the exam:
- Various signal structures, signal heads, vehicle detection, cabinet
and electrical supply - Conduit and wiring installation
- Traffic signal operations
- Solar devices
- Job closeout
- Setup and testing of new signal installation
Regardless of whether they work for a private company or a government organization, those who hold this certification are ready to contribute significantly to the upkeep and repair of signalized intersections.
Target Audience:
- Individuals who are ready to contribute significantly to the traffic signal construction team where the focus is on new or replacement traffic signals.
Prerequisites:
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician I
- IMSA Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control Technician or IMSA approved Work Zone equivalent
- 2 years of traffic operations experience
Attendees MUST provide their own laptop or tablet
This is a two day course.
Lunch is included. Other meals, transportation or hotels are not included.

Refund Policy: A refund will be given minus a $75.00 administration fee if cancellation notice is received 7 days prior to date of certification class. No refund will be given for no shows and notice less than 7 days prior to class.
Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will receive their IMSA Traffic Signal Construction Level 2 Certification, which is recognized and respected by employers and agencies across the country.
