About this Event
"When people laugh, your clown is near to you" - Philippe Gaulier
Clowns make people laugh, it's their job. What makes them so special though? Clowns are sensitive, playful and optimistic. They explore through vulnerability, impulse and discovery, creating a space where audiences can dream.
We will explore a variety of tools and techniques common to the world of clown to help us be lighter and more free on stage.
The morning session will look at 'Le Jeu' (the game) with a focus on playfulness, impulse and complicité as we discover the pleasure to play. In the afternoon students will focus on a variety of exercises to help understand the flop, find the idiot within, discover their pleasure to lie and play with the power of simplicity.
This workshop is open to all levels of performer and is a great opportunity for all to experience clown in a relaxed and supportive environment!
Please bring comfortable clothing and a water bottle.
