Come see a brand-new musical theater comedy show created live on stage. All lyrics, all music, all scenes you'll hear and see are made up on the spot in the style of a Broadway musical.
See a complete improvised story with heroes you cheer for, plucky sidekicks, villains you'll hate, and quirky townsfolk. You'll be drawn in with their singing about their larger than life emotions.
Join Highwire Improv for monthly laughs on the 3rd Saturday of every month with a rotating cast of the city's best improv ensembles, as well as frequent regional and national touring guests!
The bar is open all day, and doors for this show will open around 8:40pm for a 9pm show (check out the early show at 7pm as well)!
This month's acts include:
?????? ????! is Baltimore's only one-Han show, full of monologues, characters, songs, skits, and security.
??????? ???? is a new indie team from Baltimore. They met as students at BIG and do longform improv. We all have some kind of pain in our lives - real physical pain, or even if someone you know is just a pain in the butt. We take that and make it funny.
???????? is Baltimore's newest musical improv team, with players old and new they craft a half hour musical on the spot!

What is an improv show, exactly?
Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!
A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!
About the Venue:
The Lou Costello Room has been a mainstay of the Baltimore comedy scene for over a decade, regularly producing standup, improv, and sketch comedy shows in collaboration with many production companies. They also frequently host music and variety events from their location on Hampden's 36th Street, 'The Avenue!'
