Improvised Music Series: Jason Stein (solo), Jakob Heinemann Quartet

Bassist and composer Jakob Heinemann has become a first call member of an increasing number of Chicago bands since he relocated to the city from his hometown in Madison a few years back. Tonight he debuts an ambitious new book of his own compositions for quartet. Longtime Elastic Arts regular Jason Stein opens with a rare solo set on bass clarinet.
