Step away from the page and onto the banks of the Mersey for an evening of spontaneous, unscripted play. This workshop is a refreshing change from our usual script work — a chance to explore the full potential of improvisation in a fun, relaxed, and creative space.
We’ll dive into improv as a tool for character development, devising new material, and everything in between — from quick-fire comedy to grounded drama. It’s interactive, physical, and all about freeing up your instincts and imagination.

Rick Bithell
Rick is a classically trained actor who studied at ALRA under the mentorship of Peter Hunt and David Crowley. He currently appears in a recurring role on Coronation Street, with recent screen credits including The Long Shadow, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, and The Undeclared War.
An accomplished stage performer, Rick has worked across a range of acclaimed theatre productions, gracing some of the UK’s most respected venues—including Manchester’s renowned Royal Exchange Theatre.
Beyond his work as an actor and tutor, Rick is the Artistic Director of Troublehouse Theatre, a Manchester-based company committed to bold, thought-provoking storytelling.
