In this session you will learn how to control your nerves, have more self belief and actually look forward to giving a presentation.

In our sessions people smile a lot...

We use games and exercises based on comedy improvisation techniques to practice engaging other humans and giving presentations with confidence and clarity.

The main philosophies in improvisation are Trust and Respect. We'll live those values throughout.

We'll cover:

  • Presentations.
  • Thinking on your feet.
  • Elevator Pitches (60 seconds).
  • Telling Stories.
  • Landing Key Messages.
  • Body Language, Eye Contact, and Tone of Voice.
  • Articulation and Diction.
  • What to do with your hands!
  • And more...

The session is highly interactive and will give you plenty of practice of the techniques in order to help you impart information in a compelling way.

Great leadership can't be scripted.

This session helps business leaders swap rigid habits for rapid adaptability, deep trust, and curious listening. You’ll learn to think on your feet, unlock your team’s creative potential, and command any room with authentic confidence.

We'll also cover:

  • "Yes, and": Accepting and building on others’ contributions to foster collaboration.
  • Spontaneity and presence: Encouraging immediate, authentic responses to situations, improving leadershipand interpersonal skills
  • An atmosphere of Play
  • Curious listening
  • Enjoying yourself.
  • Flexibility/Spontaneity
  • Focus on the here and now

  • And more...

Duncan is one of the few Applied Improvisation facilitators in the UK: Applied improvisation draws on theatrical techniques to develop human capacities like collaboration, creativity, communication, and adaptability.

What you'll walk out with:

  • Improved confidence.
  • Less nerves.
  • Feeling capable of standing in front of a room of other humans and saying things...
  • A big smile on your face.

Part of the session will also be the opportunity to network with other participants (drinks and biscuits will be on hand to keep us all going).

Fun shouldn't be hard work, but hard work should be fun.

"It helped me re-evaluate the sense of what's important and that things don't have to be perfect."

"Duncan is the most passionate, intelligent and versatile teacher with a great many skills, a lot of talent, humour, care and love."
