Are you curious about the world of improv? Discover it with an amazing teacher.Do you know improv already? This course will help you fall in love with it.
Improvised theatre is an art form that can be used to create funny and interesting shows, but can also be used to train your spontaneity, your creativity, and your capacity to work with others.
Whatever your goal is, on this course you will for sure:
- Have loads of fun
- Connect with other people
- Train a set of skills that will serve you in life (and on stage if you want it).
- Get your inspiration pumped
TEACHER
International teacher Jacintha Damström has learned from more than 40 different improv trainers around the world and has taken her favorite parts of what she has learned to make this course.
In the course, we will learn the basics of improv, but also the philosophy behind it and the life skills that it can teach us.
DATES:
The course will be every Tuesday starting on the 3rd of September. A total of 10 classes plus shows once a month on Luckan (yrjönkatu 27) where you have the opportunity to perform if you want, or just watch others play 🙂
If the last 2 classes are "too much in the Christmas season" we will instead do a 5 hours workshop on a weekend. This will be up to the group taking the course.

TIME (for the improv classes):
Always from 18:30 to 20:30. We'll take a short break in the middle.
LANGUAGE: English (it doesn’t need to be perfect!)
PLACE:
Joogastudio A16, Albertinkatu 16 A.
For coming in, you need to enter the backyard. The code will be given once you register for the course.
Each participant will be asked to make a contribution for IMP to cover the costs of the workshop:
- The entire course (10 classes): 110€
- Four classes of your choice: 65€
- One class: 20€
We recommend you to take the entire course so that we can create a tight group that learns together and inspires each other.
