Improv Taster Workshop! with Sarah Davies
About this Event
Whether you’ve always wanted to try improvisation, are keen for a refresher, or just want to see what it is all about, this is the workshop for you!
Join experienced improv performer and coach Sarah Davies for a fun, friendly and accessible session to explore the basics of making improvised theatre and comedy up on the spot! By the end of the session you will have experienced a variety of joyful games and exercises, and even taken part in mini performances, all in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere!
This workshop is for people aged 16+. Come with an open mind, comfortable clothing and bottled water!
Sarah Davies trained with The Nursery Theatre, Hoopla Impro and through intensive courses/improv festivals and masterclasses with visiting practitioners. Sarah was recently Theater Ida’s Improv Artist in Residence (Switzerland). Sarah also co- ran Improv Gym at The Quarterhouse in Folkestone for many years, and has performed and taught improv nationally and internationally at places including London, Brighton, Amsterdam, Norway, Sweden and online with American improv companies. She currently performs with Hoopla Impro house teams (London), Improbotics (touring, including Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe) TBC Improv (Edinburgh) and duo Twinprov (festivals including Faversham, Dover and Buxton Fringes, London, Oslo, Amsterdam), amongst others!
