Improv is performing scenes/ dialogues with other people which is made up on the spot without a script based on audience suggestions. All the scenes and games are made up and exists only in the moment and then disappears forever. It sounds intimidating but is super fun! This class will teach you the basics of improv. Basic scene work, how to build a narrative, How to think on your feet, build confidence, work with others etc. Lots of scope for personal development also and most importantly, you will have a blast! You need no prior stage/ comedy experience. Just come show up and leave the rest to me! PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS AN 8 SESSION WORKSHOP. Dates and timings are given below. The beauty of improv is that you learn stuff here which will ALWAYS spill over to other aspects of life. Personal and professional. In case a class get cancelled/ postponed for any reason, it the classes will end a week later. If you cannot make it to that class, you can make it up with the next batch. Organiser information Neville Bharucha has been teaching improv for quite a while. He has studied improv with UCB, The Second City, The Groundlings and WGIS in America as well as with the Nursery, The Maydays, Hoopla in the UK. He has combined the styles and developed a curriculum that appeals to the Indian audience which is exciting and fun to learn and perform. He teaches in person classes in Mumbai as well as online classes and is in the process of building an improv empire so that everyone can do improv! He has taught over 500 people improv and the numbers just keep growing! Registration Details Once you sign up for the class, there will be no refunds. If a spot is blocked for you, you are expected to pay the full amount. The spot cannot be transferred to someone else. If there is an issue with the payment, reach out to Neville and he will sort you out. Your teacher may change at short notice for multiple classes but we assure only the best teach our classes.
