Curious about how improvisation can help you? From work to home, the wisdom of improv can make a meaningful difference in your life. This 6 week course is designed especially for busy professionals, students, and parents looking to take a pause and learn new skills, but who may not wish to focus on live performance. Our focus areas are being present in the moment, active listening, communication, collaboration with others, and creativity. Expect a healthy mix of short lectures, personal reflection, group discussion, and, of course, practical exercises to learn through doing. Each participant will choose a personal trek around friendships / relationships, work / school, or parenting with follow up during and after the term ends to boost the "stickiness" of learnings. This class does not have a class show or performance. While this is designed for those who've never improvised, all are welcome to enroll. 12 student cap to ensure lots of personal attention.
