Improv 201: Characters and Relationships (Mondays 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM)

Emotional reactions are the bedrock of improv. In our second level, you will strengthen the skills you built in our Intro class and focus on creating sustainable scenes based on patterns of emotional behavior that inform Characters and Relationships.

Great if you want to dig deeper into improv or if you need to interact with other humans in your day-to-day life.

Dates: This class runs Mondays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, starting January 13th and running for 8 weeks weeks. A showcase will be scheduled as an additional opportunity on an evening during the week of March 9th.

Instructor: Chris Copley

Many say Chris Copley is like a golden retriever because of both his disposition, and his fascination with squirrels. Being a Richmond native, he will give you directions using street names, block numbers, and references to restaurants that no longer exist. He's been a member of Coalition in some capacity since 2018 and has done sketch, stand up, and improv. No one has called him the "renaissance man of comedy" yet but he remains hopeful. Find him riding his bike around town, or performing every other Friday with his house team Do Crimes.

COST: $250 (Early Bird $220)

The Coalition Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Once classes begin, all sales are final. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending or completing your registered class. While we do our best to accommodate such situations, refunds are awarded only as credit for a future class or shows and are subject to the discretion of The Coalition Theater management. Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the theater.
