The NEGATIVE school Presents IMPROV 101 This is a special batch capped at 7 people. Usually it is 15 people but we are experimenting with a new style of learning so we have a small group size. Apr 5th - May 3rd | 9 classes | 27 Hours total | 1 pm - 4 pm Vatsalya 103 Vatsalya CHS, RTO Lane, Ekta Association. Andheri West. This class is for anyone looking to embark on an epic improv adventure where scenes and stories will be created out of thin air. Through scene work we will: - Learn the super hero mantra of "Yes, and" ! No cape required. - Dive headfirst in the fundamentals of active listening, agreement, scene initiation and group mind! - Become the ninja of spontaneous wit and the Jedi of lightning-fast thinking! - Crank up the confidence, positivity and creativity ! - Have more FUN than a barrel of monkeys at a banana buffet! This workshop is the first part of our 6 part improv curriculum at The NEGATIVE and your first step towards creating hour long shows using the most famous long form format called "Harold". Everything taught in this workshop will serve as a building block for higher level workshops, leading our way up to Harold. There is no experience required of any sorts. She has trained at some of the entertainment industry`s most prestigious institutions like Upright Citizens Brigade, iO West, Second City, LAMDA, The Idiot Workshops and Howard Fine Acting Studio where Hollywood icons like Will Smith, Dwayne Johnson, Brad Pitt, Chris Pine, Jared Leto, Austin Butler, Benedict Cumberbatch, Vanessa Hudgens, Gal Gadot, Steve Carell and many more have perfected their craft. ___________________ We are so excited that you are choosing to spend your weekends with us! The class will start no later than 5 mins in, if you think you are gonna be late then please inform us ahead of time. If arriving late then please wait to enter until you hear us talking to not disturb the performances. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE CLASS Please arrive ready to play! Take time before class to get in the mood to experiment and play. Carve out these hours just for yourself. Whatever is happening out there will be there when you leave the class. We will be moving a lot! Come well rested if you wish to get the most out of this class. Wear anything that is comfortable and allows a wide range of movement! Wear comfortable and secure shoes. No Flip-Flops allowed. Bring water. There will be a short break in between. Bring a jacket, if you wish, as it can get a little chilly. NO PHONES ALLOWED. Phones need to be turned off during the class. Note taking is encouraged so please bring pen and paper if you wish to take notes. Can`t wait to see you! Welcome aboard!
