Improv 101 Spring Session Saturdays 12-2pm

Every week is professional level Improv comedy training, a must for performing artists, but also beneficial to all professions. In a edition to developing strong skills in developing original characters, stories and scene work, improv develops self confidence, creativity, critical thinking, communication, presentation and more. We use these same games to develop team building, leadership sales and service skills in our corporate events.

Regular participants will be invited to perform on monthly club showcases and when you are ready we also help develop original indy teams of your own.

FREE TICKETS TO SHOWS

Students are welcome anytime to our shows in Times Square at no charge. There is usually a drink minimum but the $5-25 tickets are free to our students, including shows by the professional troupe, other classes etc. Simply RSVP by text/email and your name will be on the will call list.

PROFESSIONAL COMPANY INTERNSHIPS

If you already have completed a full slate of classes with another school and are looking for performance opportunities to further your training and or eventually audition to be in our professional company, we offer a few internships every month. EMAIL us for more details. Interns get free access to classes and shows, understudy professionals and after a short interim period can get paid to work with professional troupe, eventually joining ranks eligible to perform on paid gigs and paid teaching positions.

Walt Frasier has 25+ years of professional credits in comedy, Theater and music. He got his big break in TV performing comedy sketches on MTV’s Stankervision, Late Nite with David Letterman, TruTV’s Friends of the People, and most recently on HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay. As an actor, Frasier has appeared on NBC’s Blacklist, CBS’s Blue Bloods, USA’s Royal Pains (Filmed in Puerto Rico), Netflix’s Lilyhammer (filmed in Norway) and NICK’s Naked Brothers Band. In addition to 1000s of live performances around the world, Frasier has also appeared in numerous commercials, industrials, webisodes and reality TV shows. Arthur Avenue regulars may also recognize Walter, if you add a white beard and red suit, as he has been official Little Italy Santa for the past 15 years.

Max Feldman is an improviser and musician who performs at the Broadway Comedy Club, Magnet Theater, Caveat, Pianos, Berlin, Wonderville, and more spots in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the tri-state area. In addition to being a cast member of 8 Is Never Enough, Max accompanies for musical improv shows and rehearsals around the city; performs with the improv indie team Hey, Handsome!; plays keys in the punk band Jenny Alien; and is the creative force behind the Spa Water experimental music project.
