Improv 101 in Jamaica Plain, MA

Do you like Whose Line Is It Anyway? Have you ever wanted to learn how to make up funny improvised scenes just like the cast of the show does? Here's your chance.

Welcome to Improv 101 with JP Improv! In this class, you'll get to know the fundamentals of improv comedy. Over the course of eight weeks, you’ll learn:

- How to act out realistic scenes with a partner through acceptance and commitment

- How to create characters and bring them to life with movement and sound

- How to mime objects and environments

- How to play a number of classic short-form improv games

By the end of the course, you and your classmates will be able to:

- Confidently act out scenes based on one-word audience suggestions and other prompts

- Run those scenes together in montages lasting 10-15 minutes

- Laugh harder than you thought you could
