The day after her exhibition opening and performance, Myriam El Haïk continues her subversive play with language in an improvised session - this time together with Iranian-Canadian singer and composer Golnar Shahyar. At the center are the theatricality, timbre, tempo, and rhythm of words - their sequences, shifts, and translations into image and music. Drawing on French and Moroccan-Arabic language fragments from Myriam El Haïk’s works OHrGrün / VerT d’OreiLLe (2025) and Egorythms (2026), a dynamic interplay of associations, combinations, and transpositions unfolds.
Both artists resist the “yoke” of fixed meanings and question the power of linguistic rule systems - echoing, in some ways, the logic of algorithms. Golnar Shahyar’s practice, situated between improvisation, composition, and transcultural reflection, meets Myriam El Haïk’s conceptual engagement with language and notation.
“Collaborating with Golnar is an opportunity to open these two pieces to her remarkable voice and personality,” says Myriam El Haïk. What emerges is an immediate, playful dialogue that defends the right to imagination and hybrid worlds.

Am Tag nach ihrer Ausstellungseröffnung und Performance führt Myriam El Haïk ihr subversives Spiel mit Sprache in einer Impro-Session fort - diesmal gemeinsam mit der iranisch-kanadischen Sängerin und Komponistin Golnar Shahyar. Im Zentrum stehen Theatralität, Klangfarbe, Tempo und Rhythmus von Worten - ihre Abfolgen, Verschiebungen und Übersetzungen in Bild und Musik. Ausgehend von französischen und marokkanisch-arabischen Sprachfragmenten aus Myriam El Haïks Werken OHrGrün/VerT d’OreiLLe (2025) und Egorythms (2026) entfaltet sich ein Spiel der Assoziationen, Kombinationen und Transpositionen.
Beide Künstlerinnen widersetzen sich dem „Joch“ festgeschriebener Bedeutungen und fragen nach der Macht sprachlicher Regelwerke - nicht unähnlich der Logik von Algorithmen. Golnar Shahyars Praxis zwischen Improvisation, Komposition und transkultureller Reflexion trifft auf Myriam El Haïks konzeptuelle Arbeit mit Sprache und Notation.
