About this Event
Learn how to capture the magical light of the Central Coast in oils with local landscape painter, Victoria Galitzine. This class will cover the basics of solvent-free oil painting utilizing the expressive “alla prima” (wet-on-wet) technique. Victoria will guide you step-by-step on how to layer oils using quick, intuitive brushwork. All ability levels are welcome. You will leave with your very own impressionist-style oil seascape. All materials provided.

About the Instructor
Victoria is an award-winning landscape painter living in Aptos, California. She works in oil, painting both “en plein air” (outside, on location) and in her studio. Her plein air work captures the spirit of the moment. Working quickly while immersed in her subject matter, her brushstrokes are intuitive and impressionistic, yet she leans on realism and has a signature crispness to her style. Her studio work reflects the same energy she has acquired through years of observational study in the field.

- Advanced registration is required. Sales will close the day prior to the event.
- Workshops start on time; please allow 30 minutes for parking.
- All workshops have a minimum sign-up requirement. If the participant minimum is not met, the workshop is subject for cancellation, and NUMU will reach out to you directly with next steps.
- Tickets are nonrefundable.
