Impossible But True at Balboa

Brooklyn Tavern Theater Presents:

Impossible But True : a tavern musical that brings the audience into a small town in the Catskills as the American revolution arrives.

Loosely based on Washington Irving’s “Rip Van Winkle,” in this telling, Rip disappears when he gets PTSD serving in the Revolutionary War. Rip’s hot-tempered wife, Rebecca, joins the local reverend to lead the struggle against the British, and then 20 years later--Rip returns.

A musical tale about dreams, revolution, and what is possible.

Presented at Balboa, a local Caribbean-American eatery in Crown Heights across from Medgar Evers College. Come at 6:45 to order food (try the delicious and reasonably priced chicken!). Balboa also has a full bar. The show begins at 7:30 and last two hours, including a short intermission.
