This class will provide some fundamental knowledge on three important pests on ornamental crops in Miami-Dade, spider mites, Thrips parvispinus, and two-spot cotton leafhopper. The target audience are newcomers to the ornametnal industry and people who are interested in learning about these pests that could affect other crops like vegetables. Information will include how to recognize them, where to find them, and potential strategies in managing them.

This class will be offered in person and online, but registration is required before a ZOOM link is provided to online participants. 1 CEU is available, and lunch will be provided to in-person participants.
