Join us at Child and Family Services for an informative training facilitated by Allison Zimpfer, LMSW.
ABOUT THE COURSE: Policies are developed, codified, and enacted by individuals and are therefore influenced by individual biases. When biases are enforced through organizational level policies and practices they can appear normal and intractable. The impacts ripple out, however, creating real disparities and harm for our community members, coworkers, employees and clients. This introductory-level training is focused on the organizational level because environments inform and reinforce our behaviors. This session will define implicit bias, explore how it operates within individuals and organizations, and identify tools to mitigate it.
This CEU-approved training is required for all state-licensed health care and social workers and is approved by the NASW-Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. Approval #100622-00 (3 CEUs) and is in alignment with Michigan’s LARA Implicit Bias continuing education requirements.
$30 – Cost includes training and snacks
