Imperial Triumphant officially began with their 2012 debut release Abominamentvm. The line up consisted of Zachary Ilya Ezrin on guitar/vocals and the rhythm section of their NYC contemporaries: Pyrrhon. Soon they met with drummer Kenny Grohowski and began to feature him on their next two releases Goliath (EP) and Abyssal Gods (LP). In 2015, they introduced bassist Steven Blanco into their lineup. In 2016, they released another EP Inceste which they toured heavily that year with temporary second guitarist Max Gorelick. 2018 brought about their magnum statement: Vile Luxury. It is a full length record written collectively by the trio (Ezrin, Grohowski, Blanco) in homage to their hometown New York City that brought jazz elements to the avant garde black metal style in a way never achieved before. They toured Europe and North America extensively from 2018-19 in support of that album.
Now they are setting the sails for their upcoming masterpiece “Alphaville” which will be released on July 31st via Century Media Records. The metal trio from New York once again proves their matchless technical excellence and breathtaking musical craftsmanship. The band describes the record as follows: “ALPHAVILLE is a record designed to be slowly and sensationally unfurled by the listener. It is a very dense and challenging environment we place you in. However, every track, transition, every word and note has been scrutinized over to ensure the most rewarding experience. The auditory journey is ready for you, just press play.”
Small wonder that no other that the ingenious artist and illustrator Zbigniew M. Bielak contributes one of his best creations so far to this magnificent masterpiece. Singer and Guitarist Zachary states on Imperial Triumphants fourth studio album "ALPHAVILLE -This new album is the pinnacle of our combined efforts as a band. It is the most refined version of our current state of creation. We are extremely grateful to Century Media for providing us with the resources needed to make such a luxurious piece.
