WHAT: Memorial Day Weekend (the end of May) is reserved for the Imperial Civil/Banner War. If no one declares Civil War against the Imperial Crowns, the war still occurs - only then it is for the amusement of the populace, usually as a "Banner" War.
Any member of the Adrian Empire is welcome to attend any event or war hosted by any chapter or the Imperial crown. All members are encouraged to bring a guest to events.
ALSO ... Alhambra Crown event will be happening during this weekend at the same site. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Because Adrian Empire Knighthoods are earned based on points, members earn points for participation. Each knighthood requires points for participation in a war (like this event) and participations at local events (like the crown event). Points can be earned in Arts, Archery, Combat and Ministery (service) and new members who register within 30 days will have their participation count towards their knighthood.
Not a member? Join us by going to https://adrianempire.org/paypal/ more information for new members can also be found here: https://adrianempire.org/ministers/minHospitaler.php

YOU MUST RSVP ASAP For your camp space, and for establishing number of site tokens and such. please RSVP by messaging the autocrats or posting how many in your party or purchasing your tickets through the link above.
____
Attire: Viking Era to 1625 clothing is appropriate. Everyone is encouraged to wear "garb" (dress like historical people did) and bonus if your Camp is "Period" too. (example viking tent or medieval tent) Some Loaner Garb is available.
___________
Scenarios:
Combat:
Scenarios are designed to work with either multiple armies (subdivision vs subdivision) or just two armies if autocrats/wojos determine the subdivision vs subdivision concept not viable or desirable given attendance levels. If more than two armies, field alliances allowed in all scenarios but only one army/subdivision ultimately receives the point for each scenario.
Steel:
Open field battle - last combatant alive/standing wins the point for their army. All steel legal weapons allowed. No combat archery. Death from behind allowed per normal rules.
Crossroads battle - largest four armies start in the crossroads. If more than four armies, when an army is defeated the next largest army takes their place on the crossroads and the battle continues until only one army is left standing. If there are only two armies, it will be a bridge battle instead of a crossroads battle. All steel legal weapons permitted. No combat archery. No death from behind. All combat must take place on the crossroads/bridge.
Champions battle - each army selects one champion. All champions take the field at once and when lay on is called all champions fight each other at once. Last man standing. All steel legal weapons allowed. No combat archery. No death from behind.
Rapier:
Open field battle - last combatant alive/standing wins the point for their army. All rapier legal weapons allowed. Combat archery allowed, six arrows per archer. No gleaning of arrows. Death from behind allowed per normal rules.
Bridge battle - last man standing. No striking around bridge walls (pretend they are infinitely high) All rapier legal weapons allowed. No combat archery. No death from behind. All combat must take place on the bridge.
Champions battle - each army selects one champion. All champions take the field at once and when lay on is called all champions fight each other at once. Last man standing. All rapier legal weapons allowed. No combat archery. No death from behind.
Shinai:
Open field battle - last combatant alive/standing wins the point for their army. All shinai legal weapons allowed. Combat archery allowed, six arrows per archer. No gleaning of arrows. Death from behind allowed per normal rules.
Capture the flag - each army has a flag to be kept in its “base” (marked off area or landmark) Once an armies flag is captured and brought to another armies base, that army is immediately eliminated and leaves the field of play. Unlimited resurrections as long as your army is on the field. All shinai legal weapons allowed. Combat archery allowed; as many arrows as you can carry on your person. Gleaning allowed. If only two armies, this scenario is best two out of three. No death from behind.
K*ll the general - each army designates a general who is announced to all combatants. Each army has unlimited resurrections until their general is killed and then resurrections for that army cease (they may continue fighting if any combatants alive) Last army standing wins. All shinai legal weapons allowed. Combat archery allowed; as many arrows as you can carry on your person. Gleaning allowed. Death from behind allowed per normal rules.
Please reach out to me with any questions.
YIS,
Sir Fafnir Hallgrim
Imperial Minister of War and Joust

Archery:
The archery scenario will be 2 flights of 6 arrows at a deer target. 1 point for hitting lungs or liver. 2 points for hitting the heart. -1 point for guts, or intestines. All lists will be done at 15 yards. The champions shoot will be the same scenario but a second set of 2 flights of 6.
Clarification: 2 flights of 6 arrows for huntsman or bowman list, 2 flights of 6 arrows for the combined list, and 2 flights of 6 arrows for the champions list. Total of 6 flights.
