📣 Meet Our Final Five Grant Finalists!
Each is creating transformational change right here in Genesee County, and on September 24, they’ll share their vision and the heart behind their missions:
🌈 ABC Youth – Serving Flint youth and families through skilled trades, culinary arts, and life skills.
Project: A Skilled Trades Training & Development Center offering hands-on experience in trades, culinary arts, STEM, and life skills, plus job shadowing with local contractors to prepare youth for living-wage careers.
🏃‍♀️ Crim Fitness Foundation – Building vibrant communities by integrating physical activity, healthy eating, and mindfulness.
Project: And Still I’m R.I.S.E., a two-year pilot empowering youth and educators with mindfulness tools, peer-led support, and resources to address urgent youth mental health challenges.
🍀 Ireland’s Dream – Dedicated to ensuring children with cerebral palsy have access to quality care and opportunities to thrive.
Project: Creating an inclusive baseball field where children of all abilities can play side by side.
🙏 St. Francis Prayer Center – Serving those in need through prayer, healing, direct services, and social justice.
Project: Expanding the “Beds for Dignity” program to deliver free beds and bedding to Flint families in need, with safe storage and delivery trucks to support distribution.
🎨 Youth Arts Unlocked – Bringing the arts to justice-involved youth and sharing their creativity with the community.
Project: Launching board-certified music, dance, and drama therapy programs to empower youth through the arts.
