Immigration, Detention & the Changing Legal Landscape

What does our changing immigration landscape mean for our community, and how can we better respond and support impacted families?
About this Event

Join CWS Lancaster for an evening of conversation exploring the human impact of immigration detention and increased enforcement in our communities. The evening will feature Wu Shaoping, a prominent human rights lawyer from China who experienced arrest and immigration detention here in Pennsylvania, alongside members of CWS Lancaster’s Immigration Legal Services team and local faith leaders engaged in supporting immigrant neighbors.

Together, we’ll move beyond the headlines to better understand how immigration policies and enforcement are affecting individuals and families in our region, what legal and community resources are available, and what each of us can do to respond.

Whether you’ve been following these issues closely or are just beginning to learn, you are welcome in this conversation. Come listen, ask questions, and explore how we can show up for our immigrant neighbors together.
