BACKGROUND

Each March, Massachusetts joins the nation in celebrating Women’s History Month, a time to honor the vital contributions of women throughout history and today. This year, our conference focuses on amplifying the voices of immigrant women, highlighting their diverse experiences, challenges, and accomplishments. This year we are hosting two mayor events:

• Pre-Celebration honoring Women’s History Month, on Friday, March 28, 2025 commemorating International Women’s Day.
  
• XIX Network of Women in Solidarity Conference taking place on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Why is this conference important?
Immigrant women are powerful contributors to their communities, breaking barriers and thriving despite the unique challenges they face. From overcoming language obstacles to building businesses, leading movements, and creating change, these women demonstrate resilience and determination every day.

This conference celebrates their strength and accomplishments, providing a platform to amplify their voices and honor their stories. By coming together, we empower immigrant women to continue writing their own narratives, fostering connections, and inspiring future generations. This is not just about recognizing the past but looking forward to a brighter, more inclusive future driven by the contributions and leadership of immigrant women.

HISTORIAL

Cada marzo, Massachusetts se une al resto del país para celebrar el Mes de la Historia de la Mujer, un momento para reconocer las contribuciones vitales de las mujeres en la historia y en la sociedad contemporánea. Este año, nuestra conferencia se centra en amplificar las voces de las mujeres inmigrantes, destacando sus diversas experiencias, desafíos y logros. Este año organizaremos dos eventos importantes:

• Pre-Celebración en honor al Mes de la Historia de la Mujer, el viernes 28 de marzo de 2025, conmemorando el Día Internacional de la Mujer.
  
• XIX Conferencia Formal de la Red de Mujeres en Solidaridad, que se llevará a cabo el sábado 26 de julio de 2025.

¿Por qué es importante esta conferencia?
Las mujeres inmigrantes son poderosas contribuyentes a sus comunidades, rompiendo barreras y prosperando a pesar de los desafíos únicos que enfrentan.
