Immersive Salon Open House

The Immersive Salon Opening Reception kicks off on October 10th with feature film Love Machina followed by a talkback and sneak peek of the Immersive Salon experiences on view October 11 - 12th.

Emerging media artists, creators using virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), motion capture, and volumetric scanning, intentionally experiment with technologies to tell stories and communicate ideas that require new formats. The Immersive Salon is presented by the festival to exist beyond trends and tech appointed initiatives bringing the community and emerging media artists into the forefront of innovation in the past and present. Showcasing bold and intimate experiences; expect games, VR, workshops, panels and films that reveal the algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) behind our social platforms, project room scale motion capture portraits, offer rituals for the mismemoried, and dynamic virtual reality documentaries.
