Immersed in the Past: Walking Tour of E. Rogers Park
About this Event
East Rogers Park has been hiding its stories for over a century. On this one-hour walking tour, you'll uncover them.
Explore the neighborhood's rich architectural past, including the Frank Lloyd Wright Emil Bach House, Marion Mahoney Griffin Beach, and more storied landmarks that have shaped one of Chicago's most distinctive lakeside communities.
Your guide is Adam Selzer of Mysterious Chicago — historian, author of more than 20 books, and one of Chicago's most entertaining storytellers. Equal parts scholarly and hilarious, Adam brings the past to life in ways that will change how you see the city.
Starting and ending at Beach Glass Writers Residency, 1226 W. Sherwin Ave., this tour is open to all. Whether you're a history buff, architecture lover, or simply curious about the ground beneath your feet, you'll leave with a deeper appreciation for the neighborhood's layered past.
This tour immediately follows a historical fiction workshop at Beach Glass and is open to the public. All are welcome.
Limited to 10 participants. Reserve your spot today.
