, we inspire deeper connection to ourselves, each other, and the Earth through song. We believe in the healing, freedom, and joy that can come through communal singing, and aim to make that experience more widely accessible.

At our Singing Circles, we share simple yet powerful songs songs that can be taught by ear and come to life through the harmonies and unique expression of the group. We weave in accessible vocal improvisation, personal reflections, and light meditation, movement, or breathwork to support deeper embodiment. As the light begins to return each day, we will incorporate songs and reflections that tune to the deep, creative energy of Imbolc, moving together from deep recuperation towards connection and creation.

What is Imbolc? Imbolc is one of the 8 seasonal marks on the “wheel of the year” marking halfway through winter and the coming of light. Imbolc, from Celtic tradition, literally means, “from the belly of the mother,” referring to the impregnated mother sheep at this time. We will honor Imbolc as we water the dreams, the seeds, the expressions that have been incubating inside us through SONG. You'll be invited to add to the Imbolc Altar with a special item, word, found object in nature etc. that may represent a dream or seed you're carrying. Together we will light candels and sing to nourish these incubations into life.

Location: Hope Central Church is a 4 minute walk from the Green Street stop on the orange line, and has its own free parking lot across the street. We will be in the Sanctuary - enter through the front door.

Bring: a water bottle, cushion to sit on, and an Imbolc Altar item if you'd like.

RSVP & Cost: We encourage RSVPs through Eventbrite, but walk-ins are welcome too. Sliding Scale $10-30. You can pay through eventbrite, pay cash at the door, or venmo @bostonareasingingcircles. No one turned away for lack of funds.
