Experience level: Beginner - Intermediate.

Equipment needed: Laptop

In 2024 award-winning creative studio DOTDOT is making it possible for artists and arts organisations to create their own hybrid and virtual events with built in sociality, using a no code Experience Builder for their platform SOCIAL

For the ADA 2024 Symposium, DOTDOT is presenting a workshop on how to use state-of-the-art AI tools to generate the creative assets needed to construct a virtual environment in SOCIAL. The workshop explores a wide range of generative AI tools including text to image generation, image to image, 3D to image, image to video and text to sound. By the end of the workshop each participant will have created their own online virtual world to explore and share. Along the way the opportunities and limitations of generative AI will be discussed.

SOCIAL by DOTDOT was created in 2020 during the pandemic to allow audiences to have serendipitous social moments in virtual theatre foyers before live streamed shows. Their new Experience Builder enables artists, arts venues, arts organisations and cultural institutions to create their own hybrid and virtual events using the SOCIAL platform. Its development has been supported by Manatū Taonga, Ministry for Culture and Heritage Regeneration Fund.

DOTDOT is an award-winning creative studio focused on generating impact through social and immersive experiences. Exploring the boundaries of technology, art and design, they create spaces that are memorable, playful, interactive and curious. With backgrounds across design, film, gaming, performance and creative technology they craft unique experiences that strive to open minds and create positive social impact.
