About this Event
What does true equity look like in Richmond’s neighborhoods? We invite you to an evening of dialogue with Mickey Fearn, a nationally recognized leader in parks and civic innovation. Drawing on his experience as a former Deputy Director of the National Park Service, Mickey will share how we can rethink the relationship between residents and government to create public spaces that serve everyone. Panelists will include, Nathan Burrell, Executive Director, Groundwork RVA and Giles Garrison, City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities Programs and Operations Manager.
Join us as we explore:
- Addressing Inequity: Moving toward fair funding and park locations across the city.
- Collaborative Stewardship: How residents and nonprofits can co-create and care for public land.
- Making Change Happen: Unlocking community ideas to create greenspace developments that endure.
