This year’s ECPCA introduction to the 2026 legislative session will take the format of a press conference, followed by a community power-building session.

The event will amplify the voices of families, youth, and community leaders to call for bold leadership and renewed commitment to ending child poverty in California. As we enter another challenging budget year, this convening will reinforce our collective message: California’s children deserve to be healthy, housed, and fed—no matter the fiscal climate.

Here's what you need to know:

IMAGINE Press Conference

• Time: 10 AM - 10:30 AM (From 10:30 - 11 AM, we will walk over to the next location together)
• Location: Capitol Lawn, Area 27
• Invitees: Community members, children and youth, Assemblymembers, Senators, legislative staff, advocates, and ECPCA coalition members.

IMAGINE Community Power Building Session & Lunch

• Time: 11 AM - 2 PM (11 AM-12 PM lunch, 12 - 2PM power building session)
• Location: Clifford L. Allenby Building, 1215 O St, Sacramento, CA 95814
• Invitees: Community members, children and youth, advocates, and ECPCA coalition members. Legislative staff and elected officials by invite only.
