Imagination Lab: Light & Shadows (Main Library)

Step into the Imagination Lab for a bright and colorful exploration of light and shadows, which is designed for kids ages 6–12! We’ll kick things off with two fun reads including “Light” by Abbie Dunne and “Follow It! Learn About Shadows” by Pamela Hal to spark curiosity and wonder. Then kids will get creative by adding colored cellophane to dinosaur cutouts and experimenting with flashlights to see how light shines through different colors. They can stack shapes to mix hues, make vibrant shadows, and discover how light and color work together. This hands on activity is a playful way for young scientists to explore the basics of light, color, and shadows.
