Ages 13-17
Session 3: Design Lab
Monday | 5P-6:30P
April 5 - April 26
Imaginari Studio is a three-session series for teens, with each session focusing on one specific medium, providing a more in-depth, technique-focused experience. Students will not only hone their maker skills, but will also be encouraged to find their own unique voice and style within the medium. Each session will host different artists offering varied perspectives on the making process.
Studio: Design Lab
With digital tools, you get a no mess lab! Mistakes are manageable, experimentation is encouraged, and Ctrl-Z is always coming in clutch.
Students will learn how to translate their drawings and ideas into the digital stratosphere using programs like Canva and TinkerCAD along with 3D printers, Cricut machines, and a good old-fashioned Xerox moment. Not to be too graphic, but we’ll cover the basics of digital making: vectors, pixels, and 3d modeling. By the end, students will have a stack of custom made items and the knowledge to keep designing at home.
100% of your class dollars help us provide free supplies and support to thousands of teachers!
