Please join us for Image Readings – a monthly community gathering for image makers to share and discuss ongoing bodies of work for feedback and engagement. This month’s event is hosted by visual artist and archivist, Zonia Zena. She applies photography as a bridge to speak about personal journeys influenced by her migration experience.

About Zonia
Zonia Zena is a visual artist and archivist born in Peru, currently based between Miami, Florida, and Lima, Peru. She holds a BFA in Visual Arts from New World School of the Arts/University of Florida and a recently completed MLIS with a concentration in Archives from the University of Alabama. A member of WOPHA and Women Photograph, Zonia uses photography as a bridge to explore personal journeys shaped by her migration experience.
A Fulbright recipient in Spain, her work has been exhibited in Miami, Santiago de Chile, and Madrid, and is held in private collections. Currently, she is an artist-in-residence at Oolite Arts in the Live+Arts program. Zonia’s visual narrative emerges from biographical experiences and an ongoing curiosity to explore, enriching both her consciousness and artistic practice.(https://zoniazena.myportfolio.com)
