Join us for a creative journey in the workshop "Image as Portal: Paper Orphans," where we transform cocktail napkins into personalized art! Led by Thom Buttner and Linda Privitera, this hands-on experience will guide you in adhering napkin images onto card stock or glass containers, crafting unique pieces that tell your own stories of encounter.
Workshop Details:
Date & Time: Saturday, August 17, 2024
Location: St. John's Cathedral, Taliaferro Hall
Fee: $10 registration fee
Supplies Provided: Brushes, a diverse selection of napkins
Participants Bring: Card stock, preferred adhesive (Modpodge or Matte Medium), lunch
Activities:
Art Creation: Transform cocktail napkins into personalized art on card stock or glass containers.
Bookmark Making: Craft bookmarks using deconstructed napkins.
Storytelling: Create narratives on card stock with your unique designs.
Meditation & Discussion: Engage in a meditation on orphans and discuss themes of ghosts and ghost images that may appear if the inks are of good quality.
