I'm More Than the Immigrant You Had in Mind - Storytelling Workshop

ICA has received funding for an exciting new media project to profile the newcomer experience by looking at the misperceptions held around the immigrant identity, contrasted against the rich and fulsome identity of the people who come to Canada through immigration or refugee resettlement programs.

Funded by Canadian Heritage, “I’m More Than the Immigrant You Had in Mind” will be an online and physical exhibition of newcomer stories captured through portraits and audio stories that speaks to the fullness of each participant’s rich and multifaceted identity in their own words.
