This adult workshop on Saturday 15 June at Abbey House runs from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. It will be suitable for beginners and those with some experience who wish to develop their skills.Join us for a relaxing day of painting and learning about the weird and wonderful world of medieval manuscripts. You will be able to draw or choose your design, learn about real pigments, create and paint the design and apply gold leaf.
A place on the workshop will cost £40, including materials and as places are limited advance booking is essential. Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch with you to the workshop.
Ben is a Master Scribe and Limner (a limner is a person who paints illuminated manuscripts). He has been practising calligraphy since 2018 but has been a professional graphic designer and illustrator all his life. He also enjoys leather-working and carpentry.
