Instructor: Mary Parsons – NRA Firearms instructor, CRSO, TWAW Chapter Leader,
Course Description: This course fulfills the 16 hours training requirement for the State of Illinois Concealed Carry license application. Topics will be covered in the classroom and on a live-fire range ( Same location) At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion which is required to obtain your concealed carry license.
Topics including:
– Firearm Safety
– Principals of Marksmanship- stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control
– Maintenance and Function of a Typical Handgun
– Legal Responsibilities of a CCW Permit Holder
– Range Time Instruction
– Range Qualification 30 Rounds. 21 rounds on Target to pass the qualification
Required Equipment, to be brought to class the first day for inspection by the Instructor
– Handgun in good working order
50 rounds of quality ammunition ( to be left in your vehicle during the classroom portions)
– Eye protection
– Ear protection
- Rental Guns and are available for $20.00 includes ammo
We will break for lunch.
