I'll Be Home for Christmas - Revival House Perth Event BioSettle in for Disney's 1998 teen comedy road trip—a wholesome slice of late '90s nostalgia starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas at peak teen idol status and a young Jessica Biel. JTT plays Jake Wilkinson, a self-absorbed college student in California who cares more about partying than family traditions. When his father bribes him with a vintage Porsche to make it home to New York for Christmas, Jake confidently accepts—then gets pranked by a rival, waking up in the desert dressed as Santa Claus with his beard superglued to his face. With his ex-girlfriend Allie (Biel) driving cross-country without him, Jake must hitchhike across America in full Santa regalia, learning life lessons about family, friendship, and humility along the way.
Director Arlene Sanford keeps the tone light and the pacing brisk as Jake encounters various characters during his chaotic journey home.
