Il Senato is an Anglo Italian band feat. Fay Hallam (Makin' Time, The Prime Movers, The Fay Hallam Group), Luca Re (The Sick Rose), Andy Lewis (Paul Weller Group, Spearmint, DJ and music producer), Alberto Fratucelli (The Sick Rose) and Roberto Bovolenta (The Sick Rose). The band started in 2017 as a fun project playing live mostly cover versions of freakbeat classics. After a single on Area Pirata Records at the end of 2017 the band did several Italian tours and a successful German tour in April 2018 opening for the Australian band the Stems. In March 2019 il Senato started some recording session in Kent then followed a new Italian tour in May 2019 and some new recording sessions this time in Italy in September 2019. This recordings appeared on il Senato first LP called “Zibaldone” produced by Andy Lewis that came out on Rubber Soul Records Turin on the 15th of May 2020. The LP has been officially promoted by a video of the song “Pure Love” in January 2020. The repertoire ranges between mod, beat, garage and soul.
In 2022 il Senato did an extensive Italian Tour playing 7 gigs all over the country, in November 2022 the band started some
recording sessions in the Italian Studio Manifatture Musicali near Turin, This recording were finish in February 2023 and thr new
Album Kings of the world came out again on Rubber Soul records in July 2023. The band has just finished a successful Italian tour in
April 2026.
