IL PAESE Toronto screening @ Hot Docs Cinema

In a Sicilian village, residents await the return of loved ones who left half a century ago to build a better life in Montreal. While this long-awaited visit is bringing the semi-deserted village back to life, bittersweet feelings churn beneath the excitement. Both an elegy for what has been lost and a celebration of enduring familial love, IL PAESE: THE VILLAGE is about the experience of all those forced to leave home in search of a more stable life.
Join the director Shelley Tepperman and participants Francesca Lo Dico and Angela Argento Lo Dico for a post-screening Q&A.
