About this Event

Documentaries hold a mirror up to real events, but can be a complicated, confusing process. But wait! In this seminar we'll demystify finding your story kernel, and allowing room for the story unfold itself along the way. How do you ethically engage with a story subject? How much should you expect to shoot? How do you work with your cinematographer? What makes good b-roll? What is b-roll, anyway? While doc filmmaking can be a solo adventure, it's more fun with friends, so we'll also cover building your team and production leadership strategies.
