IHS 40th Celebration

40th Celebration! We are very excited for this event! Please continue to spread the word for this event and have those who are interested, get me their email addresses so they can stay in the loop as this event comes together. Here are some of our early ideas/plans:
The 40th Celebration will take place on Friday, Oct 9th.
· We would like to have the campus open a couple hours before the game so that alumni and staff can meet with their classes, their teammates, the programs they were involved in, etc.
· Bounce houses, DJ, food, fun
· Stay for the football game and enjoy Hall of Fame induction and crowning of King and Queen.
· Ironwood Alumni and Staff will be able to hang out in the endzone area to catch up with each other.
· We are working on possibly a BBQ hosted by our DECA Club
· For our Post Game activity, our very own alum Dave Gill, who owns Tim Finnegan's Irish Restaurant and Pub (59th Ave & Bell) will host the post-game celebration. He will be sectioning off his parking lot to accommodate our event. Entertainment for the event will be the band 3rd and Long. Mr. Gronewold plays the guitar in this band!
We are still finalizing plans but will keep you up to date as they develop. As you can see, we would love to involve other alumni/former staff in adding to this event. If there is something you would like to contribute, please don’t hesitate to reach out! We are open to ideas!
Here are a couple ways to help:
A few years ago, we created a video (see link) to showcase what our Alumni were now doing. We show it at every future freshman event that we host. We are incredibly proud of our alumni, and we would like to re-do this video as it needs to be updated. If you would like to be a part of this video, please send a picture of yourself at your current job, holding up the year you graduated to [email protected].
Also, if you would like to make a donation to this event, you can donate to Eagles Care. This is a nonprofit organization created by former Ironwood teachers. They help staff members in need but will also be taking donations to help with the 40th Celebration.
Keep spreading the word! We are looking forward to welcoming our Eagles back to Ironwood!
