Earth for All: An Alternative Future Plan

Sandrine will speak on the ideas behind y. This edited book aims to provide an antidote to despair by offering a visionary and practical road map to a better future for all. Earth for All questions whether humanity can avoid doing ‘too little, too late’ (the current trajectory) and, alternatively, make a ‘giant leap’ that reboots the economic system so that it works for everyone—and for the planet. Drawing from state-of-the-art computer modeling, Earth for All, co-developed by an international group of leading scientists, provides five system shifting set of steps oriented towards upending poverty and inequality, lifting up marginalized peoples, and transforming food and energy systems to bring humanity’s activities in line with nature’s capacities. Biosketch

Sandrine Dixson-Decleve is an environmental scientists and policy specialist, who has spent her career on complex systems analysis, international and European climate, energy, sustainable development, and sustainable finance policy development and implementation. She has spent her career working with and bringing together business leaders, policy makers, academia, and NGOS to unpack complex challenges and translate science and complex thinking into policy. Currently, she is Co-President of the Club of Rome, and Executive Chair of Earth4All. Dixson-Decleve sits on several Non-Executive Boards & Advisory Boards BMW, EDP, Climate KIC, Leonardo Centre, Imperial College London, and the Climate Governance Commission. She teaches at the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium and is a Senior Associate and faculty member of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), and co-founded the Women Enablers Change Agent Network (WECAN). Among her many honors and recognitions, Dixon-Decleve is a Fellow of the World Academy of Science and Art, a TED Global speaker, and former Chair of the European Commission Expert Group on Economic and Societal Impact of research and Innovation (ESIR).

Sandra Waddock is Galligan Chair of Strategy, Carroll School Scholar of Corporate Responsibility, and Professor of Management at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. She is author of more than 200 papers and chapters and 16 books, the latest of which is (Business Expert Press, 2024), and the earlier (Cambridge, 2014) on which this series is based.
