The Forum Defining Ireland’s Health Future

On February 12th 2026, the Irish Hospital Consultants Association will bring together one of the most influential line-ups in Irish healthcare policy, global clinical leadership and international system reform.

FutureCare 2026 isn’t just another conference... It’s where Ireland’s most urgent challenges - Capacity, Governance, and Funding - will be addressed by the people with the authority and expertise to develop real solutions.

Throughout the day, attendees will hear from leaders who have transformed health systems, redesigned accountability structures, and delivered major digital reforms worldwide. This is where the Irish context meets international evidence, and where consultant experience meets political decision-making. Explore how the approaches of Mayo Clinic, the German DRG Institute, and Cleveland Clinic translate into an Irish context, highlighting where we can emulate global success and where our system requires bespoke reform.

Significant IHCA Members will be in attendance on the day.

Speakers include:

  • Conor P. Delaney, MD, Colorectal surgeon, CEO and President, Cleveland Clinic Florida
  • Dr Frank W. Heimig, CEO, German DRG-Institute (InEK H)
  • Prof Brian Pickering, Critical Care & Clinical Informatics, AI for Patient Safety, Health Tech Innovator, Mayo Clinic
  • Robert Watt, Secretary General of the Department of Health
  • Ms Anne Coyle, Chief Executive, Beaumont Hospital
  • Mr Damien McCallion, Chief Technology & Transformation Officer & Deputy CEO, HSE
  • Ms Aoife Brick, Senior Research Officer, ESRI
  • Mr John Hurley, Group Chief Executive & Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Mater Private Healthcare Group

Join us at FutureCare 2026 and be part of the conversation shaping the next decade of Irish healthcare
