IGM Game On - Adventure Academy: Learn to Play Dungeons & Dragons

At IGM's Game On at Hurstville Library, bring your kids with you to the Adventure Academy!

As a family, you and your children will learn the basics of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, from understanding a character sheet and rolling dice to working with your party and using creative problem solving to explore fictional dungeon rooms.

During this session, you and your family will learn:

• What roleplaying is, and the basic rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition.
• How to use your character sheet and your dice.
• How to work as a team in a roleplaying game.

Adventure Academy is an exciting program to gain experience in a new hobby and learn to work together with new friends in a collaborative storytelling adventure.

About the Event:

Cost: Free.

Age: 12+ (attending children aged 12-16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)

Experience: No prior roleplaying experience necessary.

Equipment: All materials and equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your favourite set of dice if you like.

Terms and conditions:

• For participants ages 12-16, parents and/or guardians of children must accompany them for the duration of the program.
• If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.
• If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
