Engaging Gen Z to Take Political Action: It's All About Connections
Gen Z has definite ideas about the future they want to build, but is unsure about the role of political action in creating that future. With modern civics standards missing from high school curriculum, the connections between understanding what government is and how it works, why they should vote, and the impact they can have through political action have been lost. Kasen Wooters, a Gen Z political activist, will help us understand the issues that interest Gen Z, what they know and don't know about political action, and what it will take to give them the tools and knowledge they need to confidently engage. Bring your political action experience and be ready to share.
